Islam is waging an aggressive war against the West; nothing less than the future of individual liberty is at stake.
The conflict is civilizational in scope and is being fought on two primary fronts: Europe and America. The Islamization of the West is being aided and abetted by multiculturalists in Europe and America who are enforcing politically correct curbs on free speech designed to silence all criticism of Islam.

The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)."
"The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications," the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.
On April 19th, 1951, 61 years ago, General Douglas MacArthur gave a speech in Congress after being relieved of command in Korea by President Truman and ending a career of over half a century as one of America's most successful and dedicated military leaders.
Especially, listen to what General MacArthur had to say about war, victory, peace and appeasement. You'll easily see exactly what's wrong with the way we've been waging the war that started during the Clinton era and continues to our present day.
About fifteen years ago, many liberals began to self-identify as progressives—partly because of the implosion of the Great Society and the Reagan reaction that had tarnished the liberal brand and left it as something akin to “permissive” or “naïve,” partly because “progressive” was supposedly an ideological rather than a political identification, and had included some early twentieth-century Republicans like Teddy Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover.
But twenty-first century progressivism is not aimed at political reform. There is no new effort at racial unity. There is not much realization that we are in a globalized, rapidly changing, high-tech economy or that race and gender are not as they were fifty years ago. Instead, progressivism has become a reactionary return to the 1960s—or even well before. The new regressivism seeks to resurrect the machine ethos of Mayor Daley, the glory green days of the Whole Earth Catalog, the union era of George Meany, Jimmy Hoffa, and Walter Reuther, the racial polarization of the old Black Panther Party and the old Al Sharpton, and a Walter Cronkite, John Chancellor, or Peter Jennings reading to us each evening three slightly different versions of the Truth.
I am in New York for the release of my book “Marked for Death”. It explains why Islam is the largest threat to freedom which the world is currently facing. It argues why Islam is a totalitarian ideology rather than a religion. It reveals how Islam has already profoundly changed Europe in the last decades. It exposes the cultural relativism which has affected Europe so deeply that many in Europe refuse to stand for liberty and prefer to appease Islam.

My ideal program would fund students not schools and would make vouchers available to all students on a non-discriminatory basis. We are far from that ideal but we are slowly moving in the right direction. Charters and the expansion of voucher programs around the country are starting to bring more competition, dynamism and evolutionary experimentation to the field of education.
There never was a good case for the TSA. It was created in the security hysteria following the 9/11 attacks under the assumption that a single federal bureaucracy would do a better job of airport security than the private contractors who were doing it previously.
Yet since its inception, all the TSA seems to have accomplished is the irritation of a vast swath of the American public.
We have a cavalcade of domestic law enforcement and intelligence agencies whose job it is to detect and thwart terror attacks. The TSA’s job, really, is just to provide a baseline of security at the airports to catch the obvious things and the crazy lone actors who are almost impossible for intelligence/law enforcement types to preempt.
And the private sector can do that job adequately, and without needing to violate the privacy rights of every citizen boarding an airplane.

Brutally Honest: "Obama is more preoccupied with being re-elected than any other commander-in-chief of modern times"
The Won isn't quite focused on governing now is he?
Barack Obama has already held more re-election fundraising events than every elected president since Richard Nixon combined, according to figures to be published in a new book.
Obama is also the only president in the past 35 years to visit every electoral battleground state in his first year of office.
The figures, contained a in a new book called The Rise of the President’s Permanent Campaign by Brendan J. Doherty, due to be published by University Press of Kansas in July, give statistical backing to the notion that Obama is more preoccupied with being re-elected than any other commander-in-chief of modern times.
The problem is there are some generations of Americans that don’t know what this means because of our Liberal controlled school system.
On a nightly basis, the talking heads for MSMBC advocate for a government-centered society whereby the government dictates what kind of light bulbs we use, the kinds of foods we should eat, and of course the distribution of wealth taken from the successful and given to the slothful.
They actually don’t say these things the way I explained it. They have to use deception by saying oil is dirty energy; the rich aren’t paying their “fair” share and always saying they’re out for the middle class.
But, the reality is these policies that MSNBC cheer for hasn’t worked in countries in the world where they have made it their policy. Look at Greece, Spain, Italy and France. All these countries are government-centered societies and all of them are deeply in the red and on the verge of financial collapse. In the United States, Californian is Democrat controlled-government-centered Nanny State with loads of red ink.
When all this collapses, it won’t be pretty for any us.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius had no understanding of the Constitution and the law before "balancing" the Constitution with Obamacare's command for contraception coverage.
The most politically brazen feature of Obamacare has always been its looting of Medicare. About half of Obamacare’s costs are to be covered with money taken from an already nearly bankrupt program for seniors. And the most politically perilous aspect of this ploy is Obama-care’s cuts in Medicare Advantage funding, which would cause many seniors to lose their preferred health plans. Under the implementation schedule stipulated in Obamacare, many seniors would either lose their plans, or learn that they are going to lose them, before the election that will likely decide Obamacare’s—and Obama’s—fate.
Anticipating a senior revolt, the administration took action. It ran millions of dollars’ worth of taxpayer-funded TV ads featuring Andy Griffith saying things like, “That new health care law sure sounds good for all of us on Medicare!” It mailed out full-color, taxpayer-funded propaganda brochures singing the same tune. It repeatedly claimed (and continues to claim) that money taken out of Medicare to fund Obamacare would—magically—also stay in Medicare and be used to extend its solvency.
But the administration didn’t stop there. Instead, it launched an $8.35 billion “demonstration project” to postpone the vast majority of Obamacare’s Medicare Advantage cuts until after what Obama likes to call his “last election.” In truth, this isn’t really a demonstration project at all. It’s something closer to the opposite: an attempt to keep Obamacare’s effects from being demonstrated until it’s too late for voters to respond.
Our liberal rulers want to use an artificially imposed shortage of oil to inflict on us a lower standard of living in the name of their antihuman green ideology, as well as to promote government dependency by hamstringing the economy. As Barack Hussein Obama brazenly lies,
"When politicians say, "spread the wealth," translate that as "concentrate the power," because that is the only way they can spread the wealth. And once they get the power concentrated, they can do anything else they want to, as people have discovered -- often to their horror -- in countries around the world."
The EPA was originally authorized to seek out sources of air, water, and ground pollution... poisons that fouled our environment... and seek to remedy that. Unfortunately, along the way, the EPA has become an advocacy agency for radical environmental groups with the intent of minimizing human presence. What better way to do that then to attack the sources of energy needed for our survival?

1. The problem of social organization is how to set up an arrangement under which greed will do the least harm; capitalism is that kind of a system.
2. With some notable exceptions, businessmen favor free enterprise in general but are opposed to it when it comes to themselves.
3. The free man will ask neither what his country can do for him nor what he can do for his country.
4. The case for prohibiting drugs is exactly as strong and as weak as the case for prohibiting people from overeating.
5. If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert (MP: Or domestic energy resources), in five years there’d be a shortage of sand (MP: Oil, and high oil prices).
6. Only a crisis — actual or perceived — produces real change. When that crisis occurs, the actions that are taken depend on the ideas that are lying around.
~From "Remembering Milton" by Allen R. Sanderson, who reflects on the contributions of Milton Friedman on the 100th anniversary of his birth in 1912 and the 50th anniversary of the publication of Friedman's classic "Capitalism and Freedom."
From the day he announced his intention to seek the presidency, we knew that Obama was just another Democratic political thug from the streets of South Chicago with no more background and experience for the presidency than the average man on the street. And now, just three years into his faux presidency, we find that he has fostered a culture of corruption that could only have been conceived at the feet of Marxist mentors, polished as a Saul Alinsky community organizer, and honed to a fine edge in the corrupt precincts of Chicago Democratic politics.
A study of 829 companies over 31 years showed that diversity training had "no positive effects in the average workplace." Millions of dollars a year were spent on the training resulting in, well, nothing. Attitudes — and the diversity of the organizations — remained the same.
It gets worse..."In firms where training is mandatory or emphasizes the threat of lawsuits, training actually has negative effects on management diversity."
Why am I not surprised?

Voters overwhelmingly prefer their state and local governments to the one in Washington, according to a new Pew report.
The new poll shows that only a third of Americans hold a favorable view of the federal government. Over half of those polled reported feeling good about their state and local governments, indicating that Americans increasingly prefer that government control be held closer to home.
Auto engineers are skeptical that the industry has the technology to create a practical electric car.
Electric cars now in production have limited battery power and are incapable of anything more strenuous than a morning commute. Engineering experts say that the battery technology needed to make them practical is not coming anytime soon — even with the Obama administration’s multi-mullion dollar subsidies for green energy

We’ve now reached the stage where Barack Obama’s words are the greatest indictment of his stewardship. All it takes is to remind people of Obama’s rhetoric in 2008 to show that at the core of his campaign was a massive deceit. In response, a majority of the public may well say that “the time for that kind of politics is over. It is through. It’s time to turn the page right here and right now.” They might even consider citing the source for those high-minded words.
There is a vile odor about the United States these days – something has gone horribly wrong. Not just with Obama, of course – he’s just the tail-end-Charlie of a long, hideous string of events. The capstone of a oozing pile of lies, swindles, hatreds and fears which have been used to extract power and wealth from the American people and transfer it to leeches and tin-plated tyrants. And don’t get me wrong, here – there are plenty who claim to be Republican who are very much part of the problem. But it is the left and its captive Democrat party which had led the way to degradation and which has nearly wrecked this nation.
We’ve really got to work hard for the rest of the year, folks – if you think things have been bad since 2009, just wait until a re-elected Obama gets to be flexible about things in 2013.
There are three big ideas --n or religions, if you will -- competing for humanity's allegiance: Leftism, Islamism, and Americanism. I argue that the American value system -- what I call "the American Trinity" -- is the best system ever devised for making a good society.

Dems Still in Denial on Entitlements Doom http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2012/04/23/democrats-still-in-denial-on-entitlements-doom/
James Lovelock admits he, Al Gore and others over estimated the speed of climate change and were too alarmist
MSNBC - James Lovelock, the maverick scientist who became a guru to the environmental movement with his “Gaia” theory of the Earth as a single organism, has admitted to being “alarmist” about climate change and says other environmental commentators, such as Al Gore, were too.
Lovelock, 92, is writing a new book in which he will say climate change is still happening, but not as quickly as he once feared.
“The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground,” said Thomas Jefferson.
Throughout my life, I have watched this phenomenon play out. Much like a stock-market chart, you may see an occasional upward blip toward liberty, but the general trendline is downward — toward bigger, more intrusive, more controlling government and less individual liberty.
No matter who the president is, no matter which party controls the House or the Senate, decade after decade, this trend has continued. That’s because, with few exceptions, the vast majority in both major parties believe in statism, regardless of what they profess to believe when they’re in front of an audience or a television camera.
But it is hard to avoid the impression that, despite the considerable assets the continent still has, this European generation is living off — and spending down — the capital that its forerunners accumulated. And at some point one begins to wonder just how much is left in in the family trust.
Obama Administration to Spend $8 Billion to Hide Cuts to Medicare Before Election | The Lonely Conservative
ObamaCare includes huge cuts to funding for Medicare Advantage, a popular program with American seniors. The cuts go into effect next year, so when seniors go to make their enrollment choices this fall they will be in for a rude awakening. President Obama doesn’t want this huge voting block mad at him right before the election, so his administration is planning to use $8 billion of our taxpayer dollars to hide the cuts until after he’s reelected. The Government Accountability Office is now crying foul, and saying the Medicare Advantage bonus program concocted by the administration should be cancelled.

The much vaunted and praised “Arab Spring,” which took the world by surprise in December 2010 is slowly but surely turning into an Arab winter, which will inexorably become an Arab Islamic Ice Age in the near future. Already, the icicles of pan-Islamism are beginning to form throughout the Maghreb (North Africa), and the West had best come to terms with the reality that the mantra of “free and fair elections” does not translate into Arabic as Western-style democracy.

The green jobs scam is a policy sleight of hand. If the administration has a green agenda, it needs to bring that out of the closet and wear it with pride. But the green agenda isn’t a jobs agenda. If anything, it is a n0-jobs agenda: it diverted money from economic stimulus that would have created jobs when we needed them in the depths of the recession to ‘invest’ in various schemes that, if they pay off at all, will pay off down the road.
Economist Walter Williams explains the beauty of capitalism in very straightforward language. Though his words are likely impenetrable to the Leftist mind, the video should be enjoyable to everyone else.
Perhaps Democrats know something the rest of us don't about Barack Obama's political fortunes. What else explains the increasing numbers who are openly defying the president on two key election issues?
The notoriously thin-skinned Obama could not have been happy with the news last week that, as the Hill newspaper put it, "an increasing number of Democrats are taking potshots at President Obama's health care law." These Democrats are no doubt familiar with polls that show surprisingly little support for ObamaCare within their ranks. Fewer than half of Democrats think the government should be able to force individuals to buy insurance — the core element of ObamaCare — according to the latest IBD/TIPP poll. Only a little more than a third say the Supreme Court should "uphold the entire law."
The Founders created the United States as a gamble, a bet on hope rather than history. They warned us about the events we see today. If we listen, we can prevent America from mutating beyond recognition.
Please read this prescient warning in Notes on the State of Virginia by Thomas Jefferson (1781; text here). He feared an overly dominant legislature, but his analysis equally well describes our combination of a Caesar-like President and somnolent Congress and Courts.
But Blitzer is the one who should apologize, for he did not offer West’s comments in context. Blitzer also ignored clear and convincing evidence that the Communist Party USA, once funded by Moscow, regards the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Democratic Party as allies in the “struggle” for socialism in the U.S.
“What’s the difference between the CPUSA and progressive Democrats?” asked CPUSA writer Dan Margolis. “The CPUSA has worked to get Democrats elected, fought for health care reform with the public option, and embraced most of what organized labor has been doing.”
Americans are paying the hangman for the rope.
It is estimated that since the origin of the global warming hoax in the late 1980s, Americans have seen $50 billion of their dollars thrown down the climate change rat hole. The Earth has not warmed in fourteen years and it is not running out of energy reserves of oil, coal, and natural gas.
As the global warming hoax is shelved, the sustainability hoax is being rolled out and will be on full display June 20-22 in Rio de Janeiro conference when the usual suspects and charlatans gather to plot the continuation of their socialist revolution.
There is not one single reason why the U.S. taxpayer should be contributing to this communist cabal and conference.
Thomas Sowell discusses characteristics that define liberals and conservatives, and his own personal transition from Marxism to libertarianism.
Barack Obama's reelection campaign has released the most recent list of names of fundraising bundlers. On that list is Jon Corzine, the former governor of New Jersey and embattled money man, the former head of MF Global:
The leveling or deterioration of public behavior has got to be worrying people who have enough years on them to judge with some perspective.
Something seems to be going terribly wrong.
Maybe we have to stop and think about this.
What has caused this collapse of civility in Britain, which was, within living memory, a civil country? In my view, it is a demotic version of egalitariansim, allied with multiculturalism.
Even middle-class people now behave in an increasingly uncouth and rough fashion in Britain because they think that by doing so they are expressing their solidarity with the lower reaches of their society. Imitation, they think, is the highest form of sympathy. This, of course, is an implicit insult to many of the poor, for poverty and unmannerliness are by no means the same thing.
Multiculturalism is damaging because it denies that, when it comes to culture, there is a better and a worse, a higher and a lower—only difference. The word culture is used here in its anthropological sense, that is to mean the totality of behavior that is not directly biological.
Creating government dependence in the name of compassion is anything but. It’s as close as we get in this country to eugenics. It’s modern slavery. And it’s the exact “next step” you’d expect from the people whose intellectual ancestors championed both. If you can’t eliminate those you deem unworthy, defeat them at the ballot box and demonize those who show them the only way to leave the plantation. It’s real, it’s happening, it’s progressivism, and it’s sick.

Cue the Inevitable Shrieks of Raaaacism! http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/dailypundit/Wckw/~3/9ZVmVUN9MvQ/ Doug Ross @ Journal: To be (a lawyer) or not to be… Is the President’s resume accurate when it comes to his career and qualifications? I can corroborate that Obama’s “teaching career” at Chicago was, to put it kindly, a sham. I spent some time with the highest tenured faculty member at Chicago Law a few months back, and he did not have many nice things to say about “Barry.” Obama applied for a position as an adjunct and wasn’t even considered. A few weeks later the law school got a phone call from the Board of Trustees telling them to find him an office, put him on the payroll, and give him a class to teach. The Board told him he didn’t have to be a member of the faculty, but they needed to give him a temporary position. He was never a professor and was hardly an adjunct. The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool. According to my professor friend, he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement). Ross has lots more. Read the whole thing. Anent the charge of laziness: This especially will be considered racist, because it supposedly plays on a trait assigned to black people in general by their oppressors. Therefore, it can never be identified as part of the content of a specific individual’s character, as per Martin Luther King. Because it is racist to call an entire race lazy, it is therefore racist to call an individual member of that race lazy. Conveeeeenient the way that works out, eh? Especially for Barack Obama.

In the private sector an investment manager with Obama's track record would be fired. The buffet Rule is becoming a laugh line for those who have bothered to do the math as the President first suggested. Obama is still bent on punishing the success of job creators rather than encouraging them. He is also bent on strangle domestic energy production which could created hundreds of thousands of jobs and grow our economy and revenues to the government.
And Kennedy admits that folks in the White House are checking out the donor records:
“I know that they look at the reports,” he said, referring to records of campaign donations. “They’re my friends anyway, but it won’t hurt when I ask them for a favor if they don’t see me as a slouch.”
So Kennedy is aware of the corruption, and doesn't really see the problem.
Hell, more than likely, neither would half the country.
We get the leaders we deserve.
The Democrats' denial that they ever talked about a GOP "war on women" is, in a microcosm, an illumination of their modus operandi.

"The worst superstition -- the most socially destructive of all -- is the intuitively appealing belief that when there is a problem, government action is the best way to solve it."
So says John Stossel, libertarian host of Fox Business Network's Stossel, in his new book, No They Can't: Why Government Fails -- But Individuals Succeed.
A broadside against central planners and lazy thinking, No They Can't takes on public education, regulation, cronyism and green energy, among an array of other issues undermining American prosperity and economic freedom.
In President Obama's latest class-war, tax-the-rich gambit, he has stooped to a new low with misleading and out-of-context quotes from Ronald Reagan. Apparently, the president is now trying to use the Gipper for cover while he attacks Mitt Romney with the so-called Buffett Rule.
In light of the tragic killing of black teenager Trayvon Martin — and the manufactured hysteria surrounding it — one thing needs to be stated as clearly and as often as possible: The United States is the least racist and least xenophobic country in the world. Foreigners of every race, ethnicity, and religion know this. Most Americans suspect this. Most black Americans and the entire Left deny this.
Black Africans know this. That is why so many seek to live in the United States. Decades ago, the number of black Africans who had immigrated to the United States had already surpassed the number of black Africans who were forcibly shipped to America as slaves.
Members of other races and nationalities know this. Even Muslim and Arab writers have noted that nowhere in the Arab or larger Muslim world does an Arab or any other Muslim have the individual rights, liberty, and dignity that a Muslim living in America has. As for Latinos and Asians, vast numbers of them from El Salvador to Korea regard America as the land of opportunity.
CONTRARY TO OBAMA’S RHETORIC, THE 'BUFFETT TAX' WOULD RAISE AN INSIGNIFICANT AMOUNT RELATIVE TO HIS BINGE SPENDING:
