Whatever else one might conclude about the state of the CIA and the unecessary public investigations, they are effecting a disembowelment of the very intelligence agency that is supposed to protect American interests. And it appears to be all by design.

Do any of you liberals actually understand that freedom means that both parties to a debate get to speak their piece? The liberals salted in to the office applauded the cops removing the man for merely challenging the residency of one of the liberals!
There are lots of good reasons why people shouldn’t use drugs. But making drug use illegal only compounds the social consequences, turning a moral and health problem into a legal and criminal problem. The result is the worst of both worlds: all of the problems of drug use plus all of the problems of prohibition. Unfortunately, those consequences flow overseas, further undermining fragile societies such as Afghanistan, Colombia, and Mexico and ultimately American security objectives as well.

Never has an administration who had more firepower at their disposal, been set to so totally fail in the next six to eight weeks. It is nearly a foregone conclusion. It is nearly unavoidable. And it defies all logic given the sizable majority the administration has in both houses of Congress.
Since I was the first pundit to predict Obama’s presidency (Dec 2006) it behooves me to tell you the course I believe the next few weeks will take and effectively halt the radical transformation that the left appeared unstoppable with only months ago.

As I have said before, establishing health insurance co-operatives is a poor alternative to the public option plan. Opponents of a government takeover of the health care system should not be fooled. Government-run health care is government-run health care no matter what you call it.
The media is making much of the Obama Administration's hints that the President will no longer insist on a so-called "public option" in a health care bill he signs, but the idea of a government-started "co-op" alternative to private health insurance has not been abandoned.
No, Mr. Steele (if I may permitted the editorial we), we do not support the Republican party in Obamacare or cap and trade or any other program in the news today. We just are deeply fearful of the practically provable desire of the Democrats to micromanage our daily lives. But don't you take comfort that this paves your way in 2010. It doesn't.

We are witnessing one of the more rapid turnabouts in recent American political history. President Obama’s popularity has plummeted to 50 percent and lower in some polls, while the public expresses even less confidence in the Democratic-led Congress and the direction of the country at large. Yet, just eight months ago, liberals were talking in Rovian style about a new generation to come of progressive politics -- and the end of both the Republican party and the legacy of Reaganism itself. Barack Obama was to be the new FDR and his radical agenda an even better New Deal.
That’s what all this “Obama is dropping the public option” stuff is about. The town hall protests and tea party protests have been wonderful. The uprising across the country has Democrats reeling, but they’re not giving up. Instead what they’re going to do is pretend like they’re giving up, to throw the protesters a bone in the hopes that they’ll shut up already and go home, and then move on with reform that’s really just a “public option” called something else.
Within the past few decades, mosques have increasingly dotted the landscapes of American and European cities and towns, with mega mosques often overshadowing adjacent, centuries-old churches in predominantly Christian regions. Islamic schools or academies and a host of Muslim organizations have become omnipresent across the West.
And what looms over the entire debate? Debt, debt, debt -- both the recognition that one cannot expand those covered and save money at the same time without rationing or higher taxes; and the notion that all Obama’s new entitlements essentially involve borrowing money, much of it from Asia, as our indebtedness soars.
We've got to stop the whole thing. No compromise.
What appears to be a lack of attention paid to political reality is actually a single-minded determination to ignore what Americans want and to use the tools of community organizing, intimidation, coercion and, most importantly, deception to achieve his goals.
What is described in the bill here is not simply a reform. The tax code, legal system, hospitals, insurance companies, doctors, and the patient experience are radically changed. Radical change does not suggest reform. It suggests transformation.
We need to kill the whole thing. No compromise.
Until conservatives begin to understand exactly what drives radicals and how dishonest they are — dishonest in the their core — it is going to be very hard to defend the system that is under attack. For radicals the noble end — creating a new heaven on earth — justifies any means.
More of more of this is to come - the economy is far worse than the banks and the federal government is letting on (they are hoping that a course of positive thinking will get things rolling again) and the entire mountain of liberal fiscal mismanagement is crashing down.

The test, of course, will be our first disaster under Fugate's watch. Will the White House back him as he demands more from the locals, or will it throw him under the bus when the press starts weeping for the "victims" who ignored the order to evacuate? Let's hope Fugate prevails in his vision, which strikes me as a genuinely American response to disaster.
As I’ve said more than once, tax refunds are for suckers and tax withholding is perhaps the best thing that happened to those who desire to increase the size, scope, and power of the state. Get rid of both, and we’ll be a long way down the road toward restoring something resembling the Constitutional Republic this country was supposed to have been.
The battle over Obamacare is far from being won, but it’s clear that opponents are winning right now. The lesson: keep doing what you’re doing! Call your Congressman, talk to your friends, show up at townhalls… your voice is being heard!
The leftists were deluding themselves when they saw the November election as a mandate for socialism. Most of the independents who voted for Democrats were voting against Republicans, and many of the people who voted for Barack Obama were just voting for generic “change” without paying much attention to what kind of change was being promised. Now that they see what it actually means, they’re in revolt. And coming up with better commercials isn’t going to get the dog to eat the dog food when it tastes like crap.
This isn't about better health care, folks. It is about P.O.W.E.R. If a person truly wanted to improve health care--and the lives of real people--then they might be interested in stats comparing current American healthcare and Britain’s NHS:

Days after directing Americans to report "fishy" speech opposing his controversial health care policies, President Obama plans to reverse a longtime federal policy banning the use of web technologies to track and compile personal information that can easily be utilized to invade privacy.
The woman who rode into office on her husband’s name is upset that someone thinks her husband is doing the thinking for her
What Hillary Rodham could have accomplished, had she not married a man who became a high-powered politician, can never be known. She did marry him, and after he became a success, traded on his name for her own professional accomplishments.

It was a necessary step for a black person to be elected president, one in which all Americans can exult. But we have a black President now, and it is our responsibility to criticize him when we must. There is nothing racist about saying that we should not hand one-sixth of our economy to government control.
Demographic time bomb: millions of Muslim immigrants will change Europe beyond recognition, and almost no policymakers are talking about it
And those who are talking about it are smeared and vilified as racists and bigots. When a nuclear-powered Islamic Republic of France threatens the U.S., however, some Americans may come to regret the ease with which they swallowed and even propagated defamation and lies about anti-jihad European politicians such as Geert Wilders.

I think this is the reason for all the apologies and for the siding with enemies like Chavez in teh Honduras removal of their former President who was found to have breached that country's constitution. George Bush never failed to make the case that we are fair and decent country. Obama has been sucking up to those around the world who think otherwise. I think this is wrong and it is why
it was a mistake to elect him.
