Afghanis Hold Their Own Against the Taliban

  1. I thought it was interesting how Obama after his visit to the Middle East has flipped his stance on the U.S. maintaining a presence in Iraq and slowing his withdrawal time frame. I wonder how much the points lead will plummet after this one. I'll tell you this much. I hate the flip-flopping he's doing, but I credit him for going over there, listening to what was being said, and realizing it's not realistic to just yank 'em all out.

    Knowing what he does now he certainly can no longer spew the popular party line. Will it help or hurt him in the long run I'm interested to see.

    I also thought it was interesting that the McCain camp immediately said: "Yep. That's what we've been saying all along."

    This VP decision is definitely going to be the breaking point.
